Emerging Professionals
The Emerging Professionals of the Monterey Bay Chapter of the AIA seeks to be the collective voice and source of information and support, regarding career development for Emerging Professionals in the early stages of their architectural career. The Emerging Professionals committee represents three core constituencies within our Chapter: Young Architects (licensed 10 years or less), Associates and Students.
The Emerging Professionals are currently represented on our local Board of Directors by two Co-Directors of Associates, Justin Pauly & Mark Ellis. The committee organizes a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
- Study groups and the dissemination of study material from the Chapter’s updated lending library in order to assist Associates currently taking their Architectural Registration Exams or California Supplemental Exams
- Social events and gatherings to provide networking opportunities among fellow Emerging Professionals and to connect the local Emerging Professionals with the Chapter at large
- Community outreach through volunteering and design activism
- Representation of our local Emerging Professionals at both the State and National levels
